How We Used SnapPix at Our Own Wedding

SnapPix did not start as a pitch deck—it started as a wedding problem. We wanted every guest photo in one place without begging people to install another app or dig through WhatsApp threads weeks later.

We placed QR cards on reception tables, the bar, and our welcome board. The wording stayed simple: “Scan to share your photos with us—no app needed.” That one line mattered more than any technical explanation.

We ran two photo challenges during the evening—“your table selfie” and “the first dance from your seat.” Shy guests who might not have uploaded otherwise joined in because the prompt gave them permission to participate.

The digital guest book was a surprise favourite. Friends left short messages next to photos, and those notes are now as treasured as the images themselves.

Venue Wi-Fi was patchy in the barn, so we told guests they could upload from their camera roll later. Several relatives added gems from the ceremony once they were home—exactly why we kept uploads open for three months after the event start.

As hosts we password-protected the gallery so only people with our QR or link could see it. We still downloaded a full ZIP the week after for backups and a slideshow at a family lunch.

If we were doing it again, we would ask our MC for one reminder right after the speeches. Early uploads snowball—once guests see photos appearing in the live gallery, more people join in.

Building SnapPix for our own day is why we trust the flow. If you are planning a wedding, start with table cards, two challenges, and one gallery link in your thank-you message—you will collect moments your photographer cannot be everywhere to catch.
